Privacy and Security

We collect information you provide, information received from sign-in and payment partners, and limited technical and product-usage information generated when you use Digestly.

• Account information: name, email address, profile image, account identifiers, preferred language, and sign-in status received from Apple or Google through Clerk.
• Study content: PDFs, documents, slides, pasted text, website and YouTube URLs, photos, video, audio recordings, transcripts, study-set titles, generated notes, flashcards, quizzes, practice exams, answers, and progress.
• Personalization information: study level, field, goals, target dates, grades, study time, acquisition source, and output-language preferences.
• Purchase information: product, subscription status, purchase, renewal, expiration, and restore records received from Apple and RevenueCat. Digestly does not receive your card number or other payment instrument.
• Usage and technical information: paywall and purchase actions, study sessions, feature interactions, app language and locale, and IP address used for analytics, security, abuse prevention, and approximate-region reporting.
• Support information: the contents and contact details you choose to send when asking for help or exercising a privacy right.

• Provide authentication, account access, uploads, generation, study tools, synchronization, exports, purchases, restores, and customer support.
• Generate and personalize study material and allow you to resume your work across sessions and devices.
• Validate subscriptions, prevent fraud and abuse, secure the service, debug failures, and enforce limits.
• Measure product usage, understand feature performance, and improve Digestly.
• Send account, billing, service, and lifecycle communications. You can follow the unsubscribe instructions in an optional marketing message or contact support.
• Comply with applicable law, protect users and Digestly, and respond to valid legal requests.

Digestly shares information only as needed to operate the service, honor your request, protect the service, or comply with law. Providers are required by contract or their applicable terms to protect information consistently with their role and applicable law.

• Authentication: Clerk, Apple, and Google.
• Payments and entitlements: Apple App Store and RevenueCat.
• Hosting and data infrastructure: Vercel, Turso, Vercel Blob, Upstash/QStash, and Qdrant.
• Analytics and communications: PostHog and Resend.
• AI processing: Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, and models routed through OpenRouter, depending on the requested feature and current configuration.

Study inputs are sent to configured AI providers only to perform the generation or processing you request. Digestly configures commercial API services and available routing controls so study inputs are not used for provider model training. Providers may retain limited data temporarily for abuse prevention, security, or legal compliance under their applicable terms. Provider availability and processing location can vary.

Digestly does not sell or rent personal information, does not display third-party advertising in the iOS app, and does not use the iOS advertising identifier to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Service providers may process information in countries other than yours, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

We retain account information, study content, generated outputs, progress, and subscription state while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. When you delete content or your account, Digestly removes it from active product systems; limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, fraud-prevention records, or records that must be retained for accounting or legal obligations before being deleted or deidentified under the relevant provider schedules.

Digestly uses HTTPS, access controls, private-by-default study sets, and managed infrastructure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not upload credentials, secrets, medical records, financial records, or other highly sensitive personal data without first obtaining a written processing answer from Digestly.

• Delete an individual study set or source using the in-product delete action.
• Delete your account in the iOS app. This removes Digestly app data and then the sign-in user, subject to the limited retention described above.
• Revoke camera or microphone access in iOS Settings. You can continue using input methods that do not require the denied permission.
• Request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent where applicable by contacting Digestly from your account email. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed.

The App Store 4+ age rating describes the suitability of the app's content. It does not mean Digestly is listed in the Kids category, and it does not replace parental, school, or legally required consent.

A user who is below the age at which they can consent to data processing in their country must use Digestly only with authorization from a parent, guardian, school, or other authorized adult. If you believe a younger user provided personal information without the authorization required by law, contact Digestly so the account and information can be reviewed and deleted where required.

Study sets and source materials are private by default. Digestly does not publish uploads, full transcripts, source evidence, or private upload URLs. If an owner explicitly uses a public-sharing feature, only the selected generated snapshot is published and the owner can unpublish it later.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload, record, link, process, or share material, including any consent required from people whose voices or information are included.

We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel when required.
